About the Help Desk

The KVCC Help Desk is a one-stop shop for current KVCC Students, Faculty & Staff that are having technology-related issues accessing and/or using KVCC academic systems such as Blackboard, KVCC E-mail and the MyKV Portal.

The help desk is not able to provide support for your personal computer unless it involves an issue accessing an academic system, but can provide you recommendations of local companies who can.

For example if you are having an issue accessing your class in Blackboard and the technician determines it is due to a virus and/or malware, we cannot remove that virus/malware for you.  The technician will inform you of their diagnosis and refer you to a computer repair shop in the area.

Who to Contact?

Many times the help desk will receive requests from students that ultimately need to be taken care of by the instructor of the course.  Help Desk personnel are not authorized to extend timed tests, reset tests or usurp any course features such as timed releases.

Contact the Help Desk:

• You cannot login to Blackboard, MyKV Portal, etc
• You're having difficulty with a campus computer
• You get an error message trying to upload a file to Blackboard

Contact Your Instructor:

• In Blackboard, you can't see course content, assessments, etc
• You need a Blackboard quiz/test reset
