Medical Assisting - Program of Study


The Medical Assisting Program provides a great deal of flexibilty in program of study options.


You have the option of taking a day time or an eveing program of study, though you cannot do both in the same semster, and you can complete the program in either two or three years. 

The schedules below give you the courses you need to complete, in the order they need to be taken. They both apply to either the day time or evening programs. Call either Ann Walker or Brittany Newby (contact information to the right) if you have questions.

Criteria for Medical Assisting Program

 Students must complete 64 credits in the Medical Assisting program and achieve a minimum grade of "C" in all courses. Students must attain a final GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Additional Program Requirements 

Students must assume responsibility for transportation and/or other living costs to and from statewide clinical sites.
