KVCC offers “Late Start” 12-week mini session beginning Sept. 28

FAIRFIELD, HINCKLEY ME – Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC) is offering a "Late Start" 12-week mini session beginning September 28 for current and prospective students.

About a dozen general education, high-demand courses are being offered in this compact “Late-Start” schedule.

“Our fall semester high-demand courses filled up quickly,” said Karen Normandin, Dean of Student Affairs. “We want to serve the community so our faculty and staff worked together to create this schedule. We urge people to register soon because these classes will also fill quickly.”

The courses are online and classroom-based and can be applied to KVCC degree programs, and transferred to other colleges and universities. They offer an ideal opportunity for students pursuing four-year degrees to earn credits toward those degrees while taking advantage of KVCC’s low tuition rate of just $90 per credit hour.

“These courses are ideal for high school students who want to take college classes and those who are thinking about returning to school,” said Dean Normandin.

The courses offered were chosen based on high demand and some are being provided online to increase the convenience for students.

The Late Start semester will end December 13.
