Fairfield, ME – Kennebec Valley Community College will hold a public open house for its Precision Machining Technology lab Wednesday, Dec. 3 following major bond and grant-funded improvements and equipment upgrades to the facility over the past year.
The open house will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the lab in the Muriel Frye Building at the Fairfield campus at 92 Western Ave. The event is free and open to the public, and will provide a great opportunity for anyone interested in the Precision Machining Technology program to learn more.
The improvements in the lab have been funded by monies included in a jobs bond approved by Maine voters in November 2013 and by a State of Maine Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awarded to the Town of Fairfield through the Workforce Development Program.
The public open house will follow a grand reopening and ribbon cutting event earlier in the evening.
* Please note - if you are attending the reception and ribbon cutting prior to the open house the reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and the remarks and ribbon cutting will happen at 6 p.m.
