Kennebec Valley
Community College is one of seven community colleges which operate under the
authority of the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees. KVCC is
a public, non-profit, post-secondary institution supported in part by State
legislative appropriations and federal funds.
KVCC is accredited and/or approved by
the following agencies: New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc.
Commission on Institutions of Higher Education; the Association of Collegiate
Business Schools and Programs; the Maine Board of Emergency Medical Services;
the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information
Management Education (CAHIIM); the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health
Programs on recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board; the
Maine State Board of Nursing; the National League for Nursing Accrediting
Commission; the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education; the
Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American
Physical Therapy Association; the Joint Review Committee on Education in
Radiologic Technology (JRCERT); the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory
Care; the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Professions on
recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical
Sonography; and the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners
(NABCEP).
