What is #GivingTuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global movement built by individuals, families, organizations, and communities designed to support nonprofit giving. It’s an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need. And it’s your chance to make a real difference, right here in our own community.

This week, Kennebec Valley Community College is participating in #GivingTuesday, and would like to invite community members, alumni, and employees to contribute to and support our students in need.

How to Help

We’re asking our colleagues and friends of the College to make a meaningful contribution to the KVCC Foundation for the next week in the spirit of #GivingTuesday. Every donation goes towards making a world of difference to KVCC students. Funds generated from #GivingTuesday will directly benefit our students through scholarships, programs, as well as related support services.

And don’t forget to spread the word! Post to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter #GivingTuesday, and share why you donated in support of the KVCC Foundation and our students.
